The quiet last days of 2020 are a welcome time of rest and reflection on a year that has fundamentally changed all of our lives.

I’m taking this time to consider the most important lessons learned for me. Won’t you too. I also want to thank you for reading my blogs and being a part of my SelfCareHappy community. I am grateful to have you and honored to have supported you in your self care journey.

I think it’s safe to say we have all had longer time than usual in our own company this year. And we probably had an inner voice that found flaws and faults rather than blessings and graciousness. We were far more visited by our inner critic than our inner friend.

I’d like to suggest you start off 2021 gently by considering how you might take better care of yourself. What if the most important resolution you make is a better you? When you make yourself a priority, it’s vital to your overall health which makes you fully available for the people most important to you.

Too many of us jump into the new year to fix everything broken in us. Don’t be so hard on yourself. It’s important to remember our true essence is loving. We are beings of wisdom and empathy. For instance, you might want to ask for help in an endeavor you are seeking. Or speak more kindly to yourself when you feel lost. Or add more healthy foods to your meals.

Consider the wonder of a better you, a healthier you, a happier you.

Take some time this week to gently move forward into the new year.

And a reminder….the 5 components for your year-end ritual. I really believe writing about these components is another form to help you flow into the new year. Take some time to think about these and write about them if you haven’t already.

Here are 5 components to write about in your year-end ritual:

  • Remembrance. Think of all the significant things that happened impacting your life.
  • Celebration. Where did you make progress, big and small?
  • Gratitude. Appreciate what you have in your life right now.
  • Closure. Say goodbye to habits, relationships, or possessions that no longer serve you.
  • Intention. Set the stage for the energy and tone you want to bring to the new year.

One last note….I’m excited to offer…
My online one-to-one coaching program.
This coming new year, I’m offering complimentary coaching sessions. This is my gift to you or to your friends. This is for women who are overwhelmed, exhausted, and are juggling too many things in their life they don’t find the time to take care of themselves. If you want to jump start your self care, I can help you. Or if you know of someone who needs a jump start with their self care, refer them to me. When you refer a friend, I will gift you my monthly page worksheet to help you stay on track with your self care goals. This complimentary coaching is a one-month program including some other nuggets of support. If you are interested, just shoot me an email at https://selfcarehappy.com/contact/. If you have a friend who is interested, they can email me too, letting me know who referred them.

I’m so excited about this new year and the coaching program I can bring to you and your friends!

Happy New Year! Cheers!
